CECEC was founded on a simple idea: researchers in cheminformatics across Central and Eastern EuropeAlbaniaBulgariaCroatiaCzechiaEstoniaHungaryLatviaLithuaniaPolandRomaniaSerbiaSlovakiaSloveniaUkraine deserve a dedicated space to meet, talk, and build lasting connections. The region has no shortage of scientific talent – but opportunities for informal, low-barrier exchange have been scarce.

The format is deliberately lightweight. Those who wish to present give a short talk (15 minutes + 5 for discussion), covering ongoing work, fresh results, or a problem worth thinking about together. No poster sessions, no keynotes – just focused conversation among peers. The day closes with a joint dinner, included for all attendees.

Attendance is free of charge.
